The museum of the Diocese

The museum of the Diocese presents the history of the church in Burgenland.

The museum of the Diocese in Eisenstadt moves from the premises of the Franciscan monastery to Haydn church in 2024. Its collection of ecclesiastical art of the region (sculptures, paintings, paraments, i.e. clothes worn in religious services, and devices pertaining to the liturgy, objects of people´s piety and religious graphics) is unique in Burgenland.

Together with the Diocesan Museum, the Treasury will also be found in the Bergkirche again. And for the first time, the remarkable baroque sacristy of the Bergkirche will also be made accessible to the public.
